Materials and choices
What you'll be choosing between
- Painted shaker
- The most common vanity door we fit. Cleans easily and handles a humid room well.
- Quartz tops
- Non-porous and no sealing, which matters more in a bathroom than most people expect.
- Granite tops
- Natural variation; needs periodic sealing to stay resistant to cosmetics and water.
- Hardware
- Brass, brushed nickel and matte black. In a small room the hardware is a much larger share of what you see.
- Soft-close everything
- Hinges and slides, because bathroom doors get shut harder than kitchen ones.
What drives cost
Where the money actually goes
We do not publish prices, because a number without a measured room is a guess. These are the factors that move a quote up or down.
- Width and number of basins
- A double vanity is not twice a single, but it is a step up in cabinetry and plumbing.
- Custom versus stock size
- Custom earns its cost when the wall is a size nobody stocks.
- Countertop material
- The surface is often a meaningful share of a vanity budget.
- Plumbing changes
- Leaving the plumbing where it is keeps the cost down; moving it is a separate trade.

Straight answers
Bathroom Vanities: common questions
- Can I have drawers in a vanity with the plumbing in the way?
- Usually yes. The drawer boxes get notched around the trap, so you lose some depth in the middle but keep usable drawers on either side. It is more work than a cupboard, and generally worth it.
- Quartz or granite for a bathroom?
- Quartz, if you want to stop thinking about it — it does not need sealing and shrugs off cosmetics. Granite if you want natural stone and will reseal it periodically.
- Will a double vanity fit my bathroom?
- We will measure and tell you. Two basins squeezed into too narrow a run leaves neither person any counter space; one basin plus storage is often the better room.
- Do you handle the plumbing?
- Ask us about your specific project. Disconnection and reconnection around an install is normal; relocating supply and waste lines is a licensed plumbing scope we coordinate rather than absorb.
Note for review: Confirm with the business: whether plumbing disconnect/reconnect is included in a standard vanity install, and whether a licensed plumber is subcontracted or client-supplied.
